More food

Moving on to carrots...these seem to be MUCH more interesting to Z than cereal. He actually seemed to LIKE carrots (unlike his parents). Go Zack!

Zack's Guardian

Thunder sits near Zack and takes good care of him. He cleans his ears whenever they need it and watch out if you get too close!

Big Milestone

Friday was a big day for Mr. Z. We went to lunch with Grandma and then later did some tummy time...he pushed up, started to sway and POW! over he went! I thought it was a fluke, but I grabbed the videocamera and put him back on his tummy...POW! over he went again!

He did it a bunch of times on Friday, Sat and Sunday...he has it DOWN! WOOHOO!

Happy Easter

Zack had a very Happy Easter. We went to his Great Aunt Sharley's house and visited with cousins and grandparents. We had lots of good conversation and good food. Zack also got to meet his cousin Bret and cousin Bridget who is a few months older than him and spent a lot of time staring at him. Bret had a blast playing with the turtles in Auntie's yard. It was a very hot day, but everyone had a great time.

Jumping ahead...5 months old!

Since I really just started this blog, I'll jump ahead. Everyone around Z already knows all his expolits as I send pictures every day! So I'll start here. Next week is Z's 6 month birthday and we jumped the gun a little to try cereal. He took it pretty well. Since every bottle feeding is a challenge and a struggle, I am very happy to have another option! We have done a serving of cereal every day for four days and today we did two. He did great!

We also worked hard on his sitting up in his Bumbo chair. He likes to watch Ultimate Fighting and Freecreditreport.com commercials!

Zack's Birthday

It was the day before my baby shower...I was going to take a half day at work so I could clean my carpets and plant flowers...wellllll...then the pain began. I was at work and felt like something was terribly wrong. I went to the doctor and she told me to get to L&D immediately...that Zack was going to make his debut that afternoon...and he did. It was scary, but he was a healthy, happy 4lbs 3oz and 17.5 inches long. Both Grandma and her friend Judi and Kevin made it there with plenty of time to spare. Aunt Kim made it, too!

Zack was in the hospital for 31 days with wonderful nurses who took such good care of him and taught Kevin and I SO much! Zack just needed to learn to eat and put on a few lbs! He did a good job of that and went home on October 30th at 5lb 3oz. Halloween Eve!
